What this website does not do
The website uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It has no registration, no contact form, no advertising and no cross-site tracking, and it does not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making.
1. Technical server logs
- Data: IP address, date and time, requested address, response status, browser type (user agent) and referring page.
- Purpose: delivering the website, protecting it against attacks and misuse, and troubleshooting.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in secure operation of the website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Retention: logs are kept for the hosting provider’s standard security retention period and are then deleted automatically.
2. Visitor statistics
- Tool: Plausible Analytics, a cookieless analytics service operated by Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia), which stores data in the EU.
- How it works: no cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device. Your IP address and browser type are used only to create a daily identifier that is hashed and discarded within 24 hours; raw IP addresses are not stored. We only see aggregated figures, such as page views, referring sites and country, and cannot identify individual visitors.
- Purpose and legal basis: understanding how the website is used so that we can improve it; our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
3. Contacting us by email
- The website only contains email links. If you write to us, we process the data you choose to send (typically your name, email address and the content of your message).
- Purpose and legal basis: answering your enquiry (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and, where you are seeking legal services, taking steps before entering into an engagement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- Retention: enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted once they are no longer needed. If you engage us, your data is kept for the periods required by Act LXXVIII of 2017 on the Professional Activities of Attorneys and other applicable laws. All communications are subject to attorney confidentiality.
Service providers (processors)
- Website hosting: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin, Ireland (Azure Static Web Apps). Microsoft may process data outside the EEA; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Visitor statistics: Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia. Data is processed and stored in the EU.
- Email and IT services: the firm’s email and IT service providers, bound by data processing agreements.
